NASHVILLE, Tenn.

“I’ve been cheated, Been mistreated, When Will I BE LOVED.” Linda Ronstadt said it best – Ashley Barron, no stranger to heartache, leans into her new found love, engagement, and future with her single “Forever Feels.”

In one of the most personal and impactful tracks from her 2024 album Checkmate, the romantic anthem “Forever Feels” was written as a tribute to her father and stepmother’s wedding. The song’s deep connection to Barron’s own journey makes it more timely than ever with her own wedding planned for this November.

The song continues to resonate with listeners, capturing not only the beauty of enduring love but the hope that comes from overcoming grief and heartache.

Barron reflects on the inspiration behind “Forever Feels,” saying, “I wrote this song about two years ago for my dad and stepmom’s wedding.

Here we are now, and this song couldn’t ring more true for how I feel about my fiancé! It was almost like a manifestation.” The song, which was born from witnessing the joyful transformation in her father after finding love again, serves as both a personal reflection and an inspirational testament to the power of hope and faith in love.

With lyrics like “the chances are good when God deals the hand,” Barron draws from the uplifting experience of seeing her father embrace new love after the loss of her mother. This sentiment continues to inspire her own journey as she looks forward to her upcoming wedding and future with her fiancé. «It’s a love song, yes, but it’s also a reminder to stay hopeful for what’s to come in life, even when it feels uncertain,” Barron shares.

“Forever Feels” blends the vulnerability and storytelling that Barron has become known for in her career, touching on themes of love, faith, and healing.

The song’s message rings especially true for anyone who has experienced loss, showing that there is always room for new beginnings and new connections, even after the most challenging times.
