James Swanson III Releases His First E.P., “Brighter Days”

by Soraya Alcalá

James Swanson III, an up-and-coming music artist from Chicago, recently released his first E.P., “Brighter Days”, on November 20. James is doing everything he can to turn his dream into reality and is seeking opportunities, connections, or any guidance that can further him within the music industry.

Although trying to “make it” in the music industry isn’t the typical career of choice, James has been working towards his dream of becoming a mainstream artist since August of 2020 and has been an entertainer all his life.

James says, “I want to impact people. I’ve seen firsthand how drugs and abuse––real-life things––can stick with people and affect them for the rest of their lives. For those people––the hurt people––I want to show, through the music I create, that you can find love. It may not be here on this earth, but it is right beside you. That’s why I create music.”

About James

James Swanson III is a self-taught music artist––songwriter, instrumentalist, musician, and music producer––from the small town of Warren, Pennsylvania. James comes from a family of 10––six of which are his adopted siblings––and his foster care and adoption experiences fueled his passion for entertainment. James creates “Art for the Ears” through sounds of many genres, but specializes in pop and alternative hip hop music.

James recently released his first E.P., “Brighter Days”, on November 20, 2021, which includes seven songs that inspire, instill hope, and tell a powerful story using life’s most difficult circumstances. James’ goal through his release is to evoke the thoughts and emotions of listeners and allow them to reflect on their experiences, momentarily forget about their trials, and encourage them to look towards “Brighter Days”.
