International K-pop boy group T1419 continues making rounds globally with their latest track “FLEX”, part of the group’s third single after their previous releases “BEFORE SUNRISE Part. 1- ASURABALTA” and “BEFORE SUNRISE Part. 2- Exit”.
The official music video has surpassed 25 million views on YouTube. Here are FIVE facts you should know about their latest video and single “FLEX”:
1. Member Gunwoo performed as a boxer for the boxing scene. Gunwoo began boxing as a hobby in Middle School.
3. Fun Anecdote: Member Noa shared “In the video, there were expensive sports cars. The director told me to sit on the hood but I was scared so I squatted instead.” Member On shared “In the first scene of the music video, we are running in the theater kicking the seats and telling everyone to get out. As soon as the director said cut, we started apologizing to the actors and actresses.” *On laughs*
4. Fashion in “FLEX”: Includes designer suits, streetwear-inspired outfits, Henna (fake tattoo), and a Kilt. Continuing with the idea of ‘flexing’ the music video showed the boys surrounded by sports cars like a Lamborghini.
5. The message that T1419 conveys in their music is about teenage struggles. “FLEX” is a message about materialism. Member Sian states how they want to change the meaning of “FLEX”. “Rather than money and luxury, it should be about effort and confidence.
The Korean Boy band, T1419, continues solidifying their relationship with their audience in their Latin American fandom, the Monitor Music Awards being the first steppingstone. T1419 was highlighted as “International Artist on the Rise,” and recently made history as the first Korean pop group to perform on a Hispanic awards show for the Monitor Music Awards Show.
