VOA Journalist Who Conducted Exclusive Interview Available for Interviews from Seoul, South Korea
In a joint interview today with Voice of America (VOA) and U.S.-cable based news networks, CNN, General Robert Abrams – the top U.S. General in SouthKorea – said he does not accept North Korea’s claims it has no coronavirus cases, calling it “impossible”.
Voice of America English reporter William Gallo, Seoul bureau chief based in Seoul, South Korea, who conducted the interview with General Abrams is available via Skype and phone for media looking for an on-the-ground source in country.
Gallo has been reporting extensively from Seoul, South Korea on the impact of the coronavirus on the country.
General Abrams went on to tell VOA reporter William Gallo, «We’re not going to reveal our sources and methods. (But) that is untrue. How many, I couldn’t tell you.” He said North Korea’s military was also “locked down” for about 30 days in February and early March. “They took draconian measures at their border crossings and inside their formations to do exactly what everybody else is doing, which is to stop the spread,”
