Latin music’s youth idol MALUMA makes history this week, becoming the youngest artist to hold both the #1 and #2 spots, simultaneously, on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart with «Sin Contrato» and «Chantaje» (Shakira ft. Maluma). The Colombian singer-songwriter who turned twenty-three on Saturday, now has even more reasons to celebrate . . .
Maluma is only the sixth act to achieve this feat. alongside Pitbull (2011), Juan Luis Guerra (2010), Juanes (2008), and Alejandro Fernandez (1998).
«Sin Contrato» is Maluma’s fifth Latin Airplay #1, achieved in little more than a year after entering the U.S. market. The track is also the third consecutive #1 single off his album Pretty Boy Dirty Boy.
